Hailey Akau

Hailey Akau is freelance journalist and illustrator from Honolulu, Hawai'i. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Emerson College with a Bachelor of Arts in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, where she also served as the magazine editor for the Berkeley Beacon Magazine. Her writing has appeared in HONOLULU Magazine, the Berkeley Beacon, Honolulu Civil Beat, and the Independent Magazine, with illustrations in both HONOLULU Magazine and the Berkeley Beacon.
